We will gather as a youth group Wednesday evenings from 7:30-8:30pm weekly in prayer and fellowship to get insight into living the Catholic Faith in our classrooms, teams, activities, friendships, and families.
Our forum is open table discussion where we listen to one another in respect and compassion and assist each other through fellowship.
We will also discuss how we can assist those in need in our community and at large through various activities such as sandwich making, soup making, water bottle collection, toiletry backpacks, etc…
We are considered a WE group and in that venue, we assist where needed both locally and globally. We have called ourselves the Youth Social Justice Network
Theology of the Body
Theology of the Body for Teens Discovering God’s plan for Love and Life.
Our youth group will view the Theology of the Body for Teens Discovering God’s Plan for love and Life which is based on St Pope John Paul’s Theology of the Body, which gives a very positive message of the gift of sexuality as a good and essential part of love and life. It is our hope that it will provide your child(ren) with the knowledge and understanding they need concerning the meaning and purpose of their identity, their sexuality and of their very existence.
Recognizing that parents are the primary educators of their children in matters of faith and morals, please check online the program at http://www.TOB forTeens.com/Parents to preview the program. This will not only inform you of the beautiful message we will be sharing with your child(ren), but offer you tools and encouragement to confidently discuss these critical issues with them.
Please contact me should you have questions or to view the Parent Overview DVD. It is a thorough explanation of the entire program presented by one of the authors of the curriculum. Again, you can also visit TOBforteens.com for more information on the program.
